Tom Killen is the founder of Core Leadership, where he provides customized talent management solutions that drive business results.
His expertise is in the areas of talent management, executive coaching, organizational effectiveness, leadership development and team effectiveness.
For over 20 years, Tom has served as a talent leader in high-performing organizations.
Most recently at TIAA, he led talent management for its retirement services business, which serves over 5 million employees at over 15,000 institutions. He also designed and implemented TIAA’s enterprise talent management and organizational effectiveness practices.
Prior to TIAA, he led the design, roll-out, and adoption of enterprise talent management practices at Bank of America. He also supported the Consumer Bank, Marketing, and Technology and Operations.
He established the company’s executive coaching practice and led the design and adoption of talent management technology.
Early in his career, he led selection, talent management, and organizational effectiveness initiatives at Home Depot.
He earned an M.S. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology at Clemson University, holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications, and is an ICF certified coach.
He passionately believes in taking a practical, action-oriented, results-focused approach in all of his work.
